BEGINNERS LEARN TO SEW SERIES
During this 4-day Learn to Sew Series Workshop participants learn basic machine sewing skills on their way to making a beret hat.
This workshop is for adults 19+
Sewing machines are provided, however participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine as to get familiar with using it.
Students should bring their own fabric shears (one for fabric and one for paper), a new tape measure, pins, and any supplies/tools that come with their personal sewing machine. All other materials are supplied. Each session is 3 hours.
Nitty Gritty 1: The Sewing Machine
During this workshop participants will learn about the basic components of the sewing machine, including examining their own machine. Participants will also learn how to thread their machine and wind the bobbin, including talking about tension, troubleshooting and care.

Sewing from a pattern need not be intimidating. This workshop teaches participants how to read commercial sewing patterns.
